Les petites mémoires

Les petites mémoires represent the emotional memory, an everyday, singular and fragile knowledge. A collection of sensations, images and intimate experiences, they are both landmarks and love letters with which everyone can identify. These anecdotes (by Claire de Ribaupierre) combine poetry, humour and tenderness.

I sometimes write these texts in advance of a project, or in parallel with a performance, or several months after it has taken place. These texts inspire future performances, ways of reappropriating my environment, they are also a way of telling the story of the performance, better than a descriptive text. They place it elsewhere.
