It was in the family setting of La Maison d’en face, an artists’ residence in the Doubs region in France, that I began writing Les Chroniques du garage. Consisting of three chapters written each year when I returned to this house as an organiser, these chronicles recount my childhood neighbourhood.

Alongside the story revealed during public readings, a projection shows the locations mentioned in my neat reconstruction of them in the video game The Sims 4. The movements of the virtual camera, flying over and navigating between the houses, allow viewers to grasp the dramas played out behind closed doors.

Les Chroniques du garage are also presented in installation and video form, allowing viewers to listen to this improbable and immodest autofiction in voice-over.
