The lock houses of the Lot valley were built almost identically. Now that the job of lock keeper has been made obsolete by more autonomous navigation systems, these buildings are often abandoned. Lucie Laflorentie deals with the existing state of this contemporary ruin, a place of memory. She invites us to discover the interior of this abandoned construction. But space is not penetrable, we observe it like a freeze frame, almost filmic. His intervention depicts a limestone landslide: the hill enters the main room through the chimney. This sculptural event suggests the passage of time and reconnects this house to the outside world and the present.
