Documents d’artistes Occitanie updated on April 2, 2026

Jimmy Richer’s work encompasses drawing in all of its forms: on paper, as murals, installations or publications and, more recently, through tattoo art and performance. His projects hinge on an alternation of various drawing mediums, used with no established hierarchy between them.

Crossover: Jimmy Richer x Prometheus delivered

Jimmy Richer investigates the origin of myths, traditions and stories. The invention of the myth of Prometheus was, according to the artist, a way for humans to give meaning, however mythological and irrational, to the scientific and technological potential of mastering fire.

Le tarot du rameau d’or

Divinatory tarot, like tattooing, becomes, in Jimmy Richer’s practice, a new ritual that allows him to question our ways of believing. Through predefined actions, the artist seeks to forge a pact of trust with the viewer and guide them to doubt the world and its representations: to believe or not to believe in images? To remain a convinced iconoclast or a fervent iconophile?
