Oscillation

Oscillation is an action filmed at dawn in which, for twenty minutes, a bamboo stick oscillates, attempts to find its balance and seems to probe the environment like a divining rod. The choice of framing and time of day refers to the tradition of shadow theatre, whose role was to tell religious stories or popular beliefs that were passed down orally. The action of the body thus reactivates the story of the haunted house in Loupian.
