Performance archiving protocol, freezing of performance clothing, variable dimensions

As with the Insolation des vestiges series, in this series I experiment with a methodology that allows me to preserve traces of performances. Here, the clothes are frozen and thus preserved in a frozen state, to be regularly freed from their icy shell and reactivated during performances.

The clothes trapped in ice were also the subject of research and archiving carried out in a natural context, documented in the second set of images. Thanks to the colder temperatures, I was able to control the melting of the ice more easily and, at the same time, summon the body once again into an experience of effort and discomfort.

In the order of appearance in the first slideshow, the ice cubes contain traces of the following performances:

- performance Glacial, 2017

- performance Daniel(s) et moi, 300g/416g (glaçon mauve et glaçon noir), 2017

- performance Io non sono il tuo mare, 2012

- performance Déraisonnable, 2022

- performance Échec, 2018

- performance Multiprise, 2018

- performance La tempête après le calme, 2019

- performance La traversée, 2018

- performance La tempête après le calme, 2019

- performance Je reviendrai bientôt, 2015
