The Buddha’s head is carried during a sports training session in the spaces of the museum. I’m looking for ways to move around and find my balance with this heavy head accompanying me. It slows my pace and seems to be a hindrance to my progress, but as time goes by it snuggles up to my body, strengthens and stimulates me. Carry/weigh the weight of this Buddha head in contact with my body, my hands, my face, allows me to reclaim my heritage and to make visible the relationship in the present with the sculptures in the Musée Guimet’s collection.
