Faire inversion, exhibition, Le Cube - independant art room, Rabat, Morocco

The exhibition Faire inversion is the result of a period of experimentation and plastic research around cement and marble powder, which Lucie Laflorentie carried out in 2019 and 2021 between Khemisset and in residence at the Cube in Rabat (Morocco).

Lucie Laflorentie’s work around material and color questions the displacement of worker gestures, of the landscape, but also of the patterns that constitute them. Whether organic or architectural, linked to a territory, human activity, thought, history or imagination.

The researches opened during his two residencies at the Cube and in a workshop specializing in cement tiles in Khemisset allowed her to experiment with larger formats and new patterns, pieces which remain in correlation with his past work – around subjects such as landscape, the working and agricultural environment, the relationship with artisanal knowledge.
