A video sequence is presented asynchronously on five screens arranged in the space. The images, filmed in subterranean environments (the Etruscan necropolis at Cerveteri), alternate between static shots and slow movements. The temporal shifts between the screens prevent a linear reading and create an atmosphere of erosion and fragmentation. Viewers move among these visual and sonic fragments, in a spatialized experience where temporal markers dissolve. The exploration of the necropolis, its repetitive interior architecture, and its details carved into the tufa, opened up for the artist the possibility of creating shifts in motifs within the video as well.
